So it should be no surprise how much I love Matt Kennon’s “The Call.” While most songs need a video to tell their story fully, “The Call” paints a vivid picture using just words, music and that interesting voice. Deep and raspy, it sounds wise beyond its years and demands attention. You just know it’s going to share something you really need to hear. And you’d be right.
“The Call” tells two stories about reaching out and making a difference in someone’s life. “What you say may seem so small but who knows, they might be glad you called…” Kennon sings while the music swells. Gives me chills.
A great story, great piano and pedal steel guitar, and happy endings all around. This is the country music I grew up listening to (expect for maybe that happy ending part!) and still love. I’m glad to take “The Call.”Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.
